At noon on Tues., Feb. 7, Tacoma City Council and Tacoma’s Public Utility Board will hold a study session to receive an update on the city’s water filtration project. Immediately following the joint study session, there will be a regular city council study session to discuss a variety of items, including a summary of the first phase of budget reductions; a preliminary report on the 2011 yet-end budget; recommendations for funding to external organizations; and the Elks on Broadway project, including the developer’s request to modify its development agreement. At the conclusion of Tuesday’s study session, there will be an executive session to discuss pending litigation and a closed session to discuss labor negotiations. Tacoma City Council will not take public comment during the meeting, which will be held in the Tacoma Municipal Building North, 733 Market St., Room 16.
