The final survey results are in, with more than 800 residents weighing in on Metro Parks’ proposed vision, mission and goal changes. Programs and services suggestions have been distributed to staff for consideration within Metro Parks’ biennial work plan. In addition, several comments and suggestions were made to aid future agency decision-making. All comments will be given attention as part of Metro Parks’ review process. The final goals and objectives, along with survey results, can be found online at http://www.metroparkstacoma.org/Strategic_Plan . Strategic plan update workshops will be held on Thurs., Jan. 5, between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., and Fri., Jan. 6, between noon and 1:30 p.m. at Metro Parks Tacoma Headquarters, 4702 S 19th St. Participants who indicated an interest in continuing participation in the plan review process when taking the survey are asked to register for one of these two workshops. Metro Parks will be using electronic polling equipment as part of these sessions, so seating will be limited to 50 participants per workshop.
