Washington and Oregon saw some of the slowest rates of per capita personal income growth in the nation in 2001, according to preliminary figures released last week by the Federal Bureau of Economic Analysis. Nationally, per capita income growth rose an average of 2.7 percent to $30,271 in 2001. In Washington, however, income grew by an average of 1.1 percent, while in Oregon income rose by 1.2 percent.
