UWT kicks off financial workshop series next week

Financial expert Larry S. Kopp will share tips on managing stock market investments on April 12 and April 19 at the University of Washington, Tacoma.

Kopp, managing member of the business advisory firm Globe Capital, will present the two-part series “Beat the Market: How to Average 10% to 30% Returns” from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. both days. Participants will learn how to manage their investment strategies to cover future financial needs and plan for retirement. The workshop is offered by the KeyBank Professional Development Center at UW Tacoma.

Kopp is a business adviser to a number of high-growth corporations with experience launching new businesses and accelerating revenue and profit growth of existing firms. A former managing director of the Frank Russell Company (now Russell Investment Group), Kopp has been a senior banking executive, venture capitalist and financial adviser.

Kopp’s workshop is part of the Professional Development Center’s Community Leaders Forum series. In May, the forum will continue with Gary Milgard’s three-part series on business leadership.

Cost for Kopp’s workshop is $105. For more information or to register, contact the Professional Development Center at (253) 692-4618 or uwtpdctr@u.washington.edu.
