Maintenance and construction activities will require lane closures over the next two weeks along State Route 16 and across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. At 9 p.m. on Tues., Nov. 1, crews will close the Jackson Avenue on-ramp to westbound SR 16. The ramp will reopen at 7 a.m. each following morning. At 7 p.m. Nov. 1-3, crews will close the 36th Street NW on-ramp to eastbound SR 16 and the right eastbound SR 16 lane near the ramp. The lane and ramp will reopen at 5 a.m. each following morning. During night hours Nov. 2-3, crews will close the shoulder of the 24th Street NW on-ramp to westbound SR 16. The ramp itself will remain open. At 9 p.m. Nov. 7-10, crews will close the westbound right lane of SR 16 between the 24th Street NW ramp and the weigh station. The lane will reopen each following morning at 7 a.m. The work and closures are subject to change due to inclement weather or schedule changes.
