Sound Transit, AGC form public-private partnership

Representatives of the Associated General Contractors of Washington (AGC) and Sound Transit today signed an agreement forming a public-private partnership. The agreement reflects the parties’ commitment to maximizing the success of Sound Transit’s construction of facilities to increase transit options.
AGC representatives joined Sound Transit Executive Committee members, include Bob Adams, President and Roland Dewhurst, CEO at Seattle’s Union Station, in the Sound Transit Board Room.
Commitments expressed in the agreement include promoting efficient contract administration and procurement, utilizing state-of-the art design and construction practices and establishing effective quality control and assurance programs.
“We are grateful for AGC’s commitment to work closely with Sound Transit as we build infrastructure to support light rail, commuter rail and expanded regional bus service,” said Sound Transit Executive Director Joni Earl.
