City Council is scheduled to consider a resolution Sept. 18 that would approve the 2007 Small Innovative Grant Program project recommendations and the authorization, allocation and expenditure of $145,929 for the neighborhood improvement projects. The funds are budgeted from the Community Development Block Grant and the General Fund. The small innovative grants provide matching funds primarily to neighborhood organizations within the Neighborhood Council areas and will assist and support organizations in developing and implementing small-scale, neighborhood, self-help and physical improvement projects.
