The Pierce County Council will meet on Tues., Sept. 20, in Fircrest. The Council, which normally meets Tuesdays in its chambers in the County-City Building in Tacoma, holds at least one meeting a year in each of the seven Council districts, as required by the Pierce County Charter. Fircrest is now in District 4 under the redistricting plan that took effect this summer, and that district is represented by Tim Farrell. The Sept. 20 meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at Fircrest City Hall, 115 Ramsdell St. The agenda includes briefings by the cities of Fircrest and University Place as well as consideration of proposals regarding county salaries and the future of parks. The complete agenda is available on Pierce County’s Web site. The Council has already held meetings this year in Frederickson (District 3), Bonney Lake (District 1), DuPont (District 6) and Gig Harbor (District 7). Meetings will be scheduled in the remaining two districts.
