City Council members are scheduled Feb. 24 to hear the final reading of an ordinance that would establish a preliminary assessment list for the improvement of 82 sidewalks abutting certain properties in various locations throughout the City. The list is comprised of those property owners that have not completed the construction or reconstruction of their unsafe or unfit sidewalks. Since these sidewalks were determined unsafe and unfit, reconstruction is necessary for public safety.
