The City of Tacoma has hired Tadd Wille as its new budget officer. He will begin work at City Hall on Sept. 17. According to a statement in the city’s Sept. 10 “Take 5” newsletter to staff, Willie previously spent more than 10 years at the City of San Antonio, where he helped manage the City’s $2.3 billion budget, coordinated the City’s federal stimulus awards of $187 million, and oversaw the capital budget and general fund revenue budgets. Most recently, he served as assistant director and grants administrator for the Office of Management and Budget, where he led the development and coordination of a consolidated budget action plan and annual performance report for the Department of Housing and Urban Development, as well as administered community and housing development grants. He is originally from Cody, Wyoming and has a Master of Public Administration from Brigham Young University.
