MetroParks Tacoma clears audit (again)

For the fifth year in a row, the Washington State Auditor’s Office found Metro Parks Tacoma to be in compliance with state laws and regulations and government auditing standards, according to a statement released by the department last week.

The audit covered both financial statements and adherence to the park district’s own policies and procedures.

The “unqualified opinion” means there are no qualifications or major concerns about accounting practices or significant weaknesses in financial controls.
