The Tacoma office of the Department of Revenue is holding a free New Business Outreach workshop to help new and small business owners understand how to report their state taxes.
The workshop will be held on Wednesday, May 8, from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Lakewood Library, 6300 Wildaire Road SW, Lakewood.
Revenue staff members will explain the states excise taxes and participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about how taxes specifically apply to their businesses.
Tax reporting classifications, deductions and sales tax collection and record-keeping requirements will also be discussed.
