Light Rail Construction Firm Unearths Historic Photos

RCI Herzog crews working on Sound Transit’s Central Link Light Rail project recently found an old photo album and are looking for the owner.

Crews doing cleanup work in the Rainier Valley on Edmunds Street South near Martin Luther King Jr. Way South found the album lying near the side of the road.

The photo album documents the presumed owner’s journey through life in the Philippines, including family and school photos and photos of special occasions such as birthdays, baptisms and marriages. It includes a photo of the former Philippine first lady, Imelda Marcos, on the inside back cover.

“This is clearly a precious album documenting a very interesting life. We want to do everything we can to find the owner,” stated Project Engineer Ed Savage.

“It is general practice at RCI Herzog that if we find something of value, or in this case priceless, that belongs to someone else we try our best to locate the owner,” stated Project Manager Joe Rosinski.

Anyone with information leading to the owner of the photo album should contact RCI Herzog at (206) 315-2968.
