The Pierce County Council will begin December with two consecutive in-district council meetings.

The Tues., Dec. 2 meeting (District 1) will be at 5:30 p.m. at the Sumner City Hall, 1104 Maple St. in Sumner. Also at 5:30 p.m., the Dec. 9 meeting (District 4) will be in the County Council Chambers in the County-City Building, 930 Tacoma Ave. S. (Room 1045) in Tacoma.

Both meetings will be in lieu of the regular 3 p.m. Tuesday council meeting. Council rules call for at least one meeting each year to be conducted in each of the seven council districts.
