Get your passport March 15

The Pierce County Auditor’s Office will be holding a Passport Fair Saturday, March 15 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to accept passport applications.
Two payments — passport fee and agent fee — are required at the time of making application. Passport fees are $60 for children 15 years and younger and $75 for people 16 years and older; the agent fee is $25. A passport photo if needed costs $12. Passport fees must be paid by check or money order. Agent fee and photos can be paid with check, money order or cash.
Identification (driver’s license or Military ID) and proof of citizenship are required. State identification cards are accepted with other supporting forms of identification. No photocopies or hospital certificates will be accepted. Social security numbers are required on the applications.
The time frame for routine service is six to eight weeks and expedited service is three weeks. An expedited passport can be obtained with proof of departure and two-way overnight mail. Please speak with a passport clerk for additional information.
Additional forms to renew a passport, add visa pages, or make changes to a passport are available at the Auditor’s Office. It is the responsibility of the customer to mail the forms to the National Passport Center.
