The annual Tacoma Fire Department Holiday Food Drive successfully raised 3,070 pounds of food this season for donation to the YWCA Womens Shelter. In addition, the Tacoma Firefighters Christmas Project raised more than $10,000 in donations that will help more than 120 children and their families during the holiday season. Deliveries from the Christmas project, which has been an annual event since 1989, will take place Dec. 22 and Dec. 23.
