The Tacoma City Council study session and regular Council meeting for Tues., July 3 have been canceled to mark the Independence Day holiday. The council will resume its regular meeting schedule on Tues., July 10. City of Tacoma administrative offices will close on Weds., July 4, in recognition of the Independence Day holiday. There will be no garbage, recycling or yard waste pickup on July 4; collection will be one day late. Customers whose collection day is normally Friday will have a Saturday pickup. The City of Tacoma’s landfill, recycling center and household hazardous waste facility will also be closed July 4. Customers with solid waste related questions can call (253) 591-5543.
