John L. Scott Real Estate and The Boy Scout Chief Seattle Council are teaming up in the Puget Sound for the “Scouting for Food” food drive.
Between March 16 and March 23, John L. Scott and the Boy Scouts will be collecting food donations to help alleviate the serious problem of hunger in the Puget Sound.
The Seattle Times recently reported that food banks in this region are near empty and increased demand has prompted the state’s largest food-bank distributor to make an unprecedented plea for donations, hoping to raise enough for 500,000 meals by June.
Grocery bags will be distributed in participating Puget Sound neighborhoods on Saturday, March 16 and picked up by the Boy Scouts on Saturday, March 23.
The public is also invited to take part in this event by donating non-perishable food items at any Puget Sound area John L. Scott Real Estate office.
In Tacoma, there are two John L. Scott Real Estate offices: in North Tacoma, 4412 6th Ave. #1, and in South Tacoma, 317 S. 72nd St.
