Tacoma Community College yesterday named Mary Margaret Doherty the new dean of counseling and advising. Doherty has 17 years of senior-level leadership experience, and most recently worked as the WorkFirst administrator for the State of Washingtons Department of Social and Health Services Division of Employment and Assistance Programs. Prior to that, she worked at Mt. Hood Community College and Yakima Valley Community College.
Doherty holds a masters degree in counseling psychology and a bachelors degree in English. She joined the colleges staff Jan. 17.
