On June 17, at approximately 5:30 p.m. the City Council is scheduled to have a public hearing for the proposed revisions to the Land Use Regulatory Code, Critical Areas Preservation Ordinance, which includes Marine Shoreline Critical Areas as recommended by the Tacoma Planning Commission. There will also be a public hearing held by the City Council on June 17 to consider designating approximately 658.6 acres in downtown Tacoma as a Revenue Development Area (RDA) and to authorize the City Manager to submit a Local Infrastructure Financing Tool (“LIFT”) Competitive Program application to the State of Washington, Community Economic Revitalization Board.
Additionally, the Council is scheduled to hold a public hearing to consider proposed agreements with ProLogis and BNSF Railway for the proposed sale of surplus property, possible vacation of right-of-way, and granting air space easement for a future pedestrian overpass.
Lastly, the Council is scheduled to hold a public hearing concerning the findings of the Washington State Auditor’s Office performance audit report regarding public records requests.
