Forms are now available to nominate volunteers for the City of Tacoma’s 24th annual City of Destiny Awards. Nominations will be accepted through Jan. 18. These yearly honors promote the importance of community service and recognize individuals and groups who make outstanding contributions to Tacoma. To obtain a nomination form, call the City’s Community Relations Office at (253) 591-2054, or stop by the office, 733 Market St., Room 11, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can download a copy of the nomination form from the City of Tacomas Web site at http://www.cityoftacoma.org/destinyawards . You can also pick up nomination forms in the City Clerk’s Office, Tacoma Municipal Building, 747 Market St., Room 220.
