The Museum of Glass announced Tuesday it has selected Amy Wigstrom for the position of chief advancement officer. In this role, Wigstrom will be responsible for the planning and implementation of all philanthropic and membership development efforts for the Museum. Wigstrom came to the Museum in late July following a four-year term as the executive director for the American Heart Association of Pierce County. Prior to her position with the American Heart Association, Wigstrom was the executive director of the Tacoma Symphony Orchestra (2003 2007) and the director of performing arts at Sun Valley Center for the Arts (2000 2003). In 2005, she was named one of the Puget Sound Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, a program that recognizes influential young professionals in the South Sound area. Wigstrom holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Pacific Lutheran University.
