Tacoma Power reported at 7:43 p.m. tonight that strong winds have caused power outages at about 9,200 homes in Tacoma Power’s service area. The general areas affected include Northeast Tacoma, north Tacoma near Point Defiance Zoo, south Tacoma near Foss High School and in Puyallup near Rogers High School. Tacoma Power’s line crews will fix the problems and restore power as soon as possible. Customers should call (253) 502-8602 to report power outages. **UPDATE** Tacoma Power reported at 8:43 a.m. on Tues., Nov. 23 that crews have restored power to all but about 100 customers and are working on fixing those now.
