The City of Tacoma is currently working with the Hilltop community to develop a Subarea Plan and Environmental Impact Statement for the Martin Luther King Jr. Mixed-Use Center. The subarea plan will identify short and long term goals and objectives for this area, in addition to outlining specific methods to achieve them. Public opinions and priorities are an important part of this subarea planning process. The information provided in the survey will help illustrate the current conditions and needs of those within the community. A survey has been tailored for five different members of the community (adult resident, young adult resident, employee, customer, and business owner/operator). Survey forms are available at many MLK area businesses and can be printed or completed online via the project Web site at http://www.cityoftacoma.org/MLKPlan .
