A resolution on the Aug. 23 agenda would direct City Manager Eric Anderson to develop a balanced budget through the 2007-2008 biennium and to report back to the City Council with his recommendations to achieve this by mid-November 2005. The resolution states that the City Managers approach to the short-term budget shortfall will be to eliminate duplication, simplify processes and redesign the city government to more efficiently meet taxpayers needs.
