A beautifully costumed, spinning dancer created by Graham Kapowsin High School student Amanda McEwen adorns the winning poster for Ethnic Fest 2006. The poster was unveiled during the county council meeting Wednesday, which McEwen could not attend. Celebrating its 20th year, the two-day celebration of cultures will be July 29 and 30 from noon to 7pm at Wright Park. Admission is free and Pierce County Council District 4 is a sponsor. The festival includes an ethnic food court, live music, dance performances, arts-and-crafts fair and the Metro Parks Tacoma Summer Sounds and Comcast Outdoor Cinema on Saturday at 6:30pm.
