Port of Tacoma Commissioner Don Meyer will update Transportation Club of Seattle members on Weds., Nov. 2 on competitive challenges facing the shipping industry and how transportation is key to the region’s continued prosperity. Commissioner Meyer is Pierce County’s only representative on Gov. Chris Gregoire’s Connecting Washington task force, which is charged with developing a 10-year investment and funding strategy for the state’s transportation system.
