Action on Ordinances
Proposal No. 2004-63, cancelling certain uncollectible personal property taxes.

Proposal No. 2004-65, amending Section 8.88.040 of the Pierce County Code, “Boating Advisory Commission” regarding the terms of commission members.

Proposal No. 2004-66, renaming the street name of “Park Avenue S.” to “Joe Fulda Avenue S.” from the south end of Lake Spanaway Golf Course to 176th Street; and directing the Public Works & Utilities Department to change or install appropriate street signs to reflect the new name.

Proposal No. 2004-67, levying an assessment in 2004, for collection in 2005, against land in Pierce County for the control of noxious weeds.

Proposal No. 2004-68, adopting a new Chapter 2.08 of the Pierce County Code, “Electronic Data Access and Services,” authorizing the Clerk of the Superior Court to enter into contracts for providing services for electronic data access to court records and other services on a fee basis; and setting an effective date.

Action on Resolutions
Proposal No. R2004-106, authorizing the Pierce County Executive to apply for funding assistance for a Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) to the Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation, for the development of the second phase of the Cushman Trail in Gig Harbor and Pierce County.

A message from the Executive transmitting the following Ordinances, which were approved and signed on July 15, 2004:

Ordinance No. 2004-23, vacating a portion of 104th Street South right-of-way in the Northwest Quarter of Section 4, Township 19 North, Range 3 East of the Willamette Meridian, in the Midland area.

Ordinance No. 2004-28, vacating a portion of Sehmel Drive Northwest right-of-way in the Northeast Quarter of Section 36, Township 22 North, Range 1 East of the Willamette Meridian, in the Gig Harbor area.
Ordinance No. 2004-29s, adopting a new Section 3.76.045 of the Pierce County Code, “Active Duty Differential Payment,” providing for differential pay and continuation of health care benefits for county employees called to active federal service.

Ordinance No. 2004-33, granting a nonexclusive franchise to Fruitland Mutual Water Company for location of waterlines on certain county owned rights-of-way; and authorizing the County Executive to execute said franchise.

Ordinance No. 2004-53, amending Subsection 14.16.030 E. of the Pierce County Code, authorizing the Pierce County Fair Association to issue passes to military families.
