Action on Ordinances
Proposal No. 2004-43 — An ordinance of the Pierce County Council finding the propose non-exclusive telecommunications franchise to the City of Tacoma, Department of Public Utilities, Light Division, for a telecommunications network in Pierce County to be in the public interest; setting forth terms and conditions accompanying the granting of the telecommunications franchise; providing for the regulation of construction, operation, maintenance, and use of the network; prescribing remedies for the violation of the provisions of the franchise; and authorizing the county executive to enter into the franchise agreement.
Proposal No. 2004-85 — An ordinance of the Pierce County Council granting supplemental franchise No. 1 to the City of Orting, a municipal corporation of the state of Washington, for location of sanitary sewer pipelines on certain rights-of-way.
Proposal No. 2004-90s — An ordinance of the Pierce County Council vacating a portion of 12th Street East right-of-way in the southeast quarter of Section 5, Township 20 North, Range 5 east of the Williamette Meridian, in the Bonney Lake Area.
Proposal No. 2004-91 — An ordinance of the Pierce County Council authorizing the closure of a portion of 276th Street East and Wiler Road to all classes of vehicles being located in the north half of Section 36, Township 18 North, Range East, Williamette Meridian, in the Elk Plain area; and said closure being made pursuant to Chapter 47.48 Revised Code of Washington.
Proposal No. 2004-121 — An ordinance of the Pierce County Council vacating a portion of 65th Avenue East located in the northeast quarter of Section 7, Township 20 North, Range 4 east of the Williamette Meridian, in the Fife area.
Action on Resolutions
Proposal No. R2004-137s — A resolution of the Pierce County Council dedicating a portion of Military Road, from Pacific Avenue to Spanaway Loop Road, to the memory of Tom Cross; and requesting the Pierce County Public Works & Utilities Department to install appropriate street signs to reflect the dedicated road.
Proposal No. R2004-140 — A resolution of the Pierce County Council declaring its support of the watershed planning in Water Resource Inventory Areas 25 and 26, while withdrawing from watershed planning in the Grays-Elochoman and Cowlitz planning area, Water Resource Inventory AReas 25 and 26.
Proposal No. R2004-156 — A resolution of the Pierce County Council ratifying, as required by Pierce County Code 2.110.120, the sale of the surplus county-owned real property located at 104th Street Southwest and 87th Avenue SW in Lakewood, Washington.
Proposal No. R2004-144 — A resolution of the Pierce County Council approving, as creating municipality, Resolution No. 2004-3 of the Economic Development Corporation of Pierce County, adopted Nov. 5, 2004, authorizing the issuance of $8.25 million of non-recourse revenue bonds by the Economic Development Corporation of Pierce County, for the purposes of financing the costs of industrial development facilities for Jesse Engineering Company; such facilities to be located within the boundaries of the City of Tacoma in Pierce County, Washington.

Motion to certify the following Budget Certification, and instruct the Clerk of the Council to forward the Certification to the Pierce County Assessor-Treasurers Office, pursuant to Revised Code of Washington (RCW) 84.52.020: Clover Park School District
