Action on Ordinances

Proposal No. 2002-125, vacating a portion of 204th Street East right-of-way, located in the Southwest Quarter of Section 3, Township 18 North, Range 3 East, Willamette Meridian, in the Spanaway area.

Proposal No. 2002-16, amending Ordinance No. 2001-86s3, as amended, increasing the 2002 budget for the Department of Assigned Council, the Ferry Services Fund, and the Workers’ Compensation Fund; establishing the Low Income Housing Fund, and providing a 2002 appropriation for that fund.

Action on Resolutions

Proposal No. R2002-121, authorizing the Pierce County Executive to execute the joint recreation agreement between Pierce County and Puyallup School District No. 3 for development and joint use of public park and athletic teaching stations.

Message from the Executive

A message from the Executive transmitting the following Ordinance, which was approved and signed on October 15, 2002:
Ordinance No. 2002-120, amending Section 9.52.020 of the Pierce County Code, “Exemptions,” to clarify Pierce County’s intent to absolutely prohibit social card games, pursuant to Revised Code of Washington 9.46.295; and declaring an emergency.

Proclamations, Appointments

Proposal No. R2002-115, honoring and thanking the dedicated employees of Pierce County government; and declaring the week of November 11-15, 2002, to be “Pierce County Employee Appreciation and Recognition Week” in Pierce County, Washington.

Proposal No. R2002-123, confirming the appointment of one new member to the Mental Health Advisory Board. (Nina Cogswell)

Proposal No. 2002-85, vacating a portion of Alderton Puyallup Road in the Puyallup area in the Northwest Quarter of Section 36, Township 20 North, Range 4 East, of the Willamette Meridian; in the Puyallup area.
Proposal No. 2002-86, vacating a portion of 94th Avenue Northwest located in the Northwest and Southwest Quarters of Section 15, Township 22 North, Range 1 East, of the Willamette Meridian, in the Gig Harbor area.
Proposal No. 2002-90, vacating a portion of unimproved Spanaway Loop Road in the Southwest Quarter of unimproved Spanaway Loop Road in the Southwest Quarter of Section 20, Township 19 North, Range 3 East, W.M. in the Spanaway area.

Proposal No. 2002-100, repealing Ordinance Nos. 2000-34s and 2000-35s, as amended; amending Ordinance No. 99-93s2, which amended Title 19A of the Pierce County Code, the Pierce County Comprehensive Plan, to delete area-wide map amendment M-8 (Crystal Mountain Resort & Meeks) and delete finding of fact No. 18; amending Ordinance NO. 2000-17, which amends the Pierce County Zoning Atlas, to delete the designation of Crystal Mountain Resort as Master Planned Resort; all pursuant to the final decision and order issued by the Central Puget Sound Growth Management Hearing Board in David and Meredith Kenyon and Gold Hill Community Club v. Pierce County and Dana Meeks and Associates, Inc., Case No. 01-3-0001.
