Action on Ordinances
Proposal No. 2003-16, authorizing the approval of timber land classification under current use assessment on certain property within the unincorporated boundaries of Pierce County, in the Northeast Quarter of Section 15, Township 15 North, Range 4 East of the Willamette Meridian; and adopting findings of fact. (Application No. OST9-02, Janice A. Tracy – Eatonville area)

Proposal No. 2003-17, authorizing the approval of timber land classification under current use assessment on certain property within the unincorporated boundaries of Pierce County, in the Southwest Quarter of Section 9, Township 16 North, Range 3 East of the Willamette Meridian; and adopting findings of fact. (Application No. OST8-02, Allen and Carla Chase – Roy Area)

Proposal No. 2003-18, authorizing the approval of timber land classification under current use assessment on certain property within the unincorporated boundaries of Pierce County, in the Northwest Quarter of Section 1, Township 16 North, Range 3 East of the Willamette Meridian; and adopting findings of fact. (Application No. OST11-02, Michael and Vicky Murphy – Eatonville area)

Message from the Executive
A message from the Executive transmitting the following Ordinance, which was approved and signed on February 19, 2003:

Ordinance No. 2003-2s, relating to contracting indebtedness; providing for the issuance, specifying the installment payments, interest rate, terms and covenants, and fixing the form of a $8,318,611.28 par value limited tax general obligation refunding bond, 2003; establishing a bond redemption fund; and approving the sale and providing for the delivery of the bond to Bank of America, N.A. of Seattle, Washington.

Proclamation
Proposal No. R2003-28, proclaiming the month of March 2003 to be “Red Cross Month” in celebration of the noble humanitarian mission and service provided to the Pierce County community and our nation.

Ordinances
Proposal No. 2002-132s, amending Section 14.16.030 of the Pierce County Code, “Fees,” to increase certain fees related to the Pierce County Fair.
Proposal No. 2003-13, ratifying the collective bargaining agreement reached with Pierce County Sheriffs’ Independent Guild, Local No. 1889, Community Service Officers; and amending the Pierce County Salary Classification Plan.

Resolutions
Proposal No. R2003-29, requesting the Planning and Land Services Department to prepare a proposed ordinance responding to the financial decision and order of the Central Puget Sound Growth Management Hearings Board regarding Case No. 02-3-0010, Master Builders Association and Brink, et al; providing direction for the content of the response; and specifying a time for submittal to the council. (Parkland-Spanaway-Midland Communities Plan)

Proposal No. R2003-30, setting the date of an evening council meeting in Council District No. 5, for 6 p.m., on Tuesday, April 1, 2003, to be held at Arlington Elementary School, 3002 South 72nd Street, Tacoma, Washington.
