Action on Ordinances
Proposal No. 2003-49s, responding to the final decision and order of the Central Puget Sound Growth Management Hearings Board regarding Case No. 02-3-0010; amending Chapter 19B.40 of the Pierce County Code, Parkland-Spanaway-Midland Communities Plan; amending Chapter 18A.25, Zone Classifications and Use Tables, to create a high density single-family zone and modify the zoning atlas; amending Chapter 18A.35, Development Standards, to address specified portions of the residential resource and single-family zone classifications; and adopting findings of fact.

Proposal No. 2003-50, amending Section 3.12.030 of the Pierce County Code, “Ethical Standards and Prohibited Practices Enumerated” by increasing the amount permitted monetary contributions from county personnel from $50 to $100 per calendar year per candidate for elected county office.

1. A message from the Executive transmitting the following Ordinances, which were approved on May 15, 2003.
Ordinance No. 2003-21, repealing Ordinance No. 86-129; and permanently closing Ton-A-Wan-Da Avenue from Tok-A-Lou Avenue to the west terminus, to all classes of vehicles. (Browns Point area)

Ordinance No. 2003-22, amending Sections 13.04.080 and 13.13.045 of the Pierce County Code, to make the service charge provision in the public sanitary sewer system chapter of the code consistent with Washington state law.

Ordinance No. 2003-26, amending Section 2.99.030 of the Pierce County Code, Pierce County Commission Against Domestic Violence, by revising the designated government representatives.

2. A message from the Executive transmitting the following Ordinances, which were approved and signed on May 27, 2003.
Ordinance No. 2003-23s, granting a nonexclusive franchise to Elbe Water and Sewer District, for location of water lines on certain county-owned rights-of-way; and authorizing the County Executive to execute the franchise.

Ordinance No. 2003-24s, granting Elbe Water and Sewer District a nonexclusive franchise to construct, operate, and maintain a sanitary sewer pipeline system over, in, along, and under certain public roads and highways in Pierce County, Washington.

Ordinance No. 2003-30, amending Chapter 2.49 of the Pierce County Code, “Pierce County Farm Advisory Commission.”

Ordinance No. 2003-33, cancelling certain uncollectible personal property taxes.
