Action on Ordinances
Proposal No. 2000-4s, granting a non-exclusive franchise to Puget Sound Energy, for location of gas pipelines on certain county-owned rights-of-way; and authorizing the county executive to execute the franchise.
Proposal No. 2002-6, amending Section 2.64.040 of the Pierce County Code, “Jurisdiction and Authority,” adjusting the jurisdictional boundaries of the Frederickson Advisory Commission.
Proposal No. 2002-12, authorizing the approval of open space classification under current use assessment on certain property within the unincorporated boundaries of Pierce County, in the Northwest Quarter of Section 36, Township 18 North, Range 4 East of the Willamette Meridian; and adopting findings of fact. (Application No. OS3-01, Charles and Beverly Crow – Graham area)
Proposal No. 2002-13, authorizing the approval of open space classification under current use assessment on certain property within the unincorporated boundaries of Pierce County, in the Southeast Quarter of Section 21, Township 21 North, Range 2 East of the Willamette Meridian; and adopting findings of fact. (Application No. OS4-01, Rollin W. and Mary J. Morford – Gig Harbor Peninsula area)
Proposal No. 2002-14, authorizing the approval of open open space classification under current use assessment on certain property within the unincorporated boundaries of Pierce County, in the Southeast Quarter of Section 30, Township 20 North, Range 4 East of the Willamette Meridian; and adopting findings of fact. (Application No. OS5-01, Blair and Marian Cockerline, Puyallup area)
Proposal 2002-15, amending Title 3 of the Pierce County Code, Personnel, by adopting a new Chapter 3.15, Workplace Violence Prevention.
Proposal No. 2002-16, changing the name of a portion of 69th Avenue East and 70th Avenue East to Woodland Avenue East; designating the arterial classification for this road by amending Ordinance No. 98-117; revising the maximum speed limit for this road by amending Ordinance No. 2001-103; directing the county engineer to properly implement the arterial designation, maximum speed limit, and road name through the use of appropriate traffic control devices; and setting an effective date.
Proposal No. 2002-17, amending Chapter 3.16 of the Pierce County Code, and adopting a new title for Chapter 3.16, Equal Employment Opportunity Policy.
Action on Resolutions
Proposal No. R2002-20, authorizing the Pierce County Executive to execute an interlocal agreement with the cities and towns of Pierce County, thereby amending the Pierce County Countywide Planning Policies to amend the Joint Planning Policies as recommended by the Pierce County Regional Council.
Proposal No. R2002-21, authorizing the Pierce County Executive to execute an interlocal agreement with the cities and towns of Pierce County, thereby ratifying the amendments to the Pierce County Countywide Planning Policies to address the Endangered Species Act, as recommended by the Pierce County Regional Council.
Proposal No. R2002-22, authorizing the Pierce County Executive to allocate funds disbursed by the Washington State Office of Community Development, for the Pierce County Buildable Lands Project.
