Action on Ordinances

Proposal No. 2002-57, amending Ordinance No. 2001-86s3, by amending the fiscal year 2002 budget for prevention service programs.

Messages from Executive

A message from the Executive transmitting the following ordinances, which were approved and signed on May 2, 2002:

Ordinance No. 2002-9, amending Ordinance No. 2001-86s3, by adding a proviso for a fish stocking program to the Parks and Recreation Services Department’s budget.

Ordinance No. 2002-12s, authorizing the approval of open space classification under current use assessment on certain property within the unincorporated boundaries of Pierce County, in the Northwest Quarter of Section 36, Township 18 North, Range 4 East of the Willamette Meridian; and adopting findings of fact. (Application No. OS3-01, Charles and Beverly Crow – Graham area)

Ordinance No. 2002-13s, authorizing the approval of open space classification under current use assessment on certain property within the unincorporated boundaries of Pierce County, in the Southeast Quarter of Section 21; Township 21 North, Range 2 East of the Willamette Meridian; and adopting findings of fact. (Application No. OS4-01, Rollin W. and Mary J. Morford – Gig Harbor Peninsula area)

Ordinance No. 2002-14s, authorizing the approval of open space classification under current use assessment on certain property within the unincorporated boundaries of Pierce County, in the Southeast Quarter of Section 30, Township 20 North, Range 4 East of the Willamette Meridian; and adopting findings of fact. (Application No. OS5-01, Blair and Marian Cockerline, Puyallup area)

Ordinance No. 2002-17, amending Chapter 3.16 of the Pierce County Code, and adopting a new title for Chapter 3.16, equal employment opportunity policy.

Ordinance No. 2002-43, establishing a weight restriction of ten tons on Alder Cutoff Road, from May 10, 2002, to July 16, 2002, inclusive.

Appointments

Proposal No. R2002-50, confirming the appointment of one new member and one new alternate member to the Board of Equalization. (John C. Reese and Peter D. Bailey) For final consideration.

Proposal No. R2002-51, confirming the appointment of one new member to the Pierce County Conservation Futures Citizens’ Advisory Board. (Susan D. Yadon) For final consideration.

Proposal No. R2002-52, confirming the reappointment of six existing members to the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee. (Robert Nalley, Tanna Osterhaus, Rick Adams, Robert Baltzell, Gerald Harnish and Jacqueline Goodwill) For final consideration.

Proposal No. R2002-53, confirming the reappointment of two existing members to the Pierce County Farm Advisory Commission. (Scott A. Candoo and Cheryl L. Ouellette) For final consideration.

Proposal No. R2002-54, confirming the appointment of one new member, and the reappointment of two existing members to the Chemical Dependency Advisory Board. (Richard A. Duke, Karen Maurin and Diane McLuen) For final consideration.
