On Labor Day Weekend, Pierce County golfers will have the unique opportunity to give back to those who have given everything in defense of our country. Lake Spanaway Golf Course (pictured) is offering a Patriot Day package Sat., Sept. 1, Sun., Sept. 2 and Mon., Sept. 3.

The package includes a $5 donation to the Wounded Warriors Fund Inc., as well as a certificate for an additional round of golf. For $52 (riding) or $42 (walking), golfers receive in addition to the donation a green fee, green fee certificate, breakfast or hot dog and coffee or soda. The golfer has the option of using the green fee certificate or donating it to a local military base.

Donations also can be made at Fort Steilacoom Golf Course. The package, which includes green fee, green fee certificate and the $5 donation, costs $27.50 for 18 holes and $19.75 for nine holes.
