On May 11, construction is scheduled to start along South 25th Street from the intersection of Pacific Avenue to C Street. This work is the final phase of the Pacific Avenue improvement project, which started late last summer.

The work slated for South 25th Street includes removing the existing asphalt surface and base section of the street and replacing it with geosynthetic fabric along with a new base section and asphalt. Sidewalks and curbs and gutters will also be repaired where needed.

From May 11 until May 22, traffic along 25th Street will be restricted to one-lane each direction from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. With the exception of May 13, when the street will be closed between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. for paving, and will re-open to traffic between the hours of 7 and 9 a.m. and again between 4 and 7 p.m.

There will be signs, traffic signals and detour routes to notify drivers of the traffic restrictions.
