The City Council will consider the Neighborhood Councils’ recommendations for the 2005 Small Innovative Grant Process to fund neighborhood projects for street and sidewalk improvements, blight removal and beautification projects in residential areas during its Oct. 11 meeting. The Neighborhood Councils propose spending their allocation of approximately $160,370 from federal funds on small projects spread throughout the City’s eight Neighborhood Councils. The projects include new crosswalks, tree and planting improvements, traffic speed humps and residential lighting projects for low-to-moderate-income homeowners.
