The Museum of Glass International Center for Contemporary Art has appointed Julie Pisto as director of marketing and communications.
We are thrilled to have Julie on board, said Josi Callan, director of the Museum of Glass. She brings impressive experience with branding and communications which will enable her to lead the museums marketing efforts as we approach our opening in July.
Prior to joining the museum staff, Pisto was the assistant vice president for marketing at Regence BlueShield. She also worked for several years as the manager of corporate communications.
Pisto holds a master of arts degree from the University of Washington and a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Utah.
A resident of Tacoma, she has served on the Corporate Council for the Arts Pierce County Committee and the Tacoma-Pierce County Media Center Board.
She is the past president of Executive Women International, Tacoma Chapter.
The Museum of Glass is scheduled to open in July.
