John L. Scott appoints new VP, COO

L. Scott Real Estate Chairman and CEO, J. Lennox Scott, has announced the appointment of Alan Scearce to Senior Vice President and COO of the 73-year-old Pacific Northwest real estate company.

Scearce was hired in 2002 to oversee John L. Scott’s Client Services division, which includes title, escrow, home warranty, and client transaction services.

In his new role as Senior Vice President and COO, Scearce will also oversee the operations and development of John L. Scott’s marketing, internet, and communications programs, with a focus on developing agent services and ensuring the adoption and integration of these programs with John L. Scott’s core services.

Scearce brings 14 years of leadership and experience within the real estate industry to his new position. Prior to joining John L. Scott, Scearce was Vice President of Network Services for Mason-McDuffie/Prudential California Realty in San Francisco, Calif., where he oversaw marketing, training, communications, and the franchise network. Following this, Scearce was the Director of Business Development and Product Management for Real Tech, a Seattle-based company that provides technology services to residential real estate companies.
