Home sweet homes: The Commons at Fircrest

Construction continues on the site of The Commons at Fircrest, a collection of well-appointed, modern day craftsman style homes located near the intersection of Orchard and 64th streets.

The grand opening of the 57 homes on Division I of the project was held in June 2003, according to an official with builder J. Scott Homes. Division I homes are sold out.

Work is under way on Division II of the project by Sound Built Homes, the official said, with a grand total of 180 homes planned.

A trip through The Commons at Fircrest gives a genuine community feel. The neighborhood includes sidewalks, old-fashioned streetlamps, a community gazebo, a lot for youngsters to play in and alley-access garages.

The Commons at Fircrest is located in the University Place School District.
The homes are designed to offer open and gracious living areas, ranging in size from 1,507-square-feet to 2,184-square-feet.

Other amenities include vaulted ceilings; gourmet kitchens complete with General Electric appliances; designer finishes, gas fireplaces and more.

To accommodate today’s often high-tech lifestyle, The Commons at Fircrest also provides built-in entertainment centers, pre-wiring for cable television, speakers and “icebox” and structure wiring for digital subscriber line (DSL) networking.

Homes also include fully maintained landscaping, as well as fenced yards with private patios.
