A funeral mass has been scheduled to celebrate the life of former Tacoma Fire Chief Tony Mitchell at 10 a.m., May 7, at the Visitation Church in south Tacoma, 3314 S. 58th St. A reception will follow at C.I. Shenanigan’s, 3017 Ruston Way, and one of the City’s fireboats will be offshore in the bay as a tribute.
