Fundraiser April 19 for Tacoma Waterfront Association

The public is invited to the Tacoma Waterfront Association’s (TWA’s) second annual fundraising reception April 19 from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Foss Waterway Seaport. Proceeds from the reception will support TWA programs to promote Tacoma’s waterfront. The reception includes a barbecue dinner, silent auction and raffle. Entertainment will be provided by illusionist Cary Durgin and a special appearance will be made by Captain George Vancouver.

Items that will be available at a silent auction include a hand-made garden Terrance bell, dinner for two at Tillicum Village, an electric boat ride of the Foss Waterway and dinner at Johnny’s Dock, and a ride on the WWII-era tug Comanche. Various raffle prizes will be awarded throughout the evening. In addition, the ships Adventuress, Odyssey and Comanche will be available for free dockside tours from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
