Free workshop October 18 in Longbranch includes information and opportunities for discounted or free septic services

Hear from septic industry experts about best practices to keep your septic system and the environment healthy

Homeowners can save money and protect the beauty of Key Peninsula with regular septic system care and maintenance. Learn how at a free workshop Oct. 18, 6-8 p.m., at The Longbranch Improvement Club, 4312 Key Peninsula Hwy. SW., Longbranch.

For the fifth year, Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department organized the workshop to offer troubleshooting tips and explain the importance of septic maintenance and required routine inspections.

“When a good septic system goes bad, no one wins,” said Leigh McIntire, program manager. “Homeowners get hit with repair or replacement costs, and the environment can suffer sewage contamination. With proper care and maintenance, you can significantly reduce the chance of this double whammy.”

Industry professionals—including Flo Hawks and A Advanced Septic Services—will give presentations at the workshop. Receive up to $450 in discounts on septic services if you qualify. Get copies of your system’s records and enter a raffle for a chance to win free septic services.

To attend: Reserve your spot for the free workshop. We’ll have free snacks and beverages. Contact Jamie Zorich at jzorich@tpchd.org or (253) 405-6815 with questions. Learn more about the Septic System Program at www.tpchd.org/septic.
