Free Summer concerts

The greater Tacoma area has lots of music for all tastes throughout the summer. Here’s a few of them:

Franke Tobey Jones, 5340 North Bristol, Tacoma, WA 98407, presents Concerts on the Lawn ~ Every Thursday Night In August, 6:30 -7:30 pm.

August 3 ~  Scott Cossu (light jazz)

August 10~ 8 Second Ride (county)

August 17 ~ Tacoma Concert Band

August 24 ~ Hank Cramer (folk music)

August 31 ~ Maia Santell and House Blend (American Songbook)

July 6 ~ Big Band Jazz performed by the 56th Army Band Rainier Brass.

July 20 ~ Off the Hook. R&B, Funk, Soul and Jazz.   Dance to the Sounds of Earth, Wind and Fire; James Brown, Motown and Kool and the Gang.

Aug 3 ~ Clave Gringa. Seattle-based Latin Jazz ensemble guaranteed to make you move!

Aug 17 ~ U253-2.  Premier U2 Tribute Band based out of University Place.  *In case of rain,  concerts will move to the Curtis High School Cafeteria located at 8425  40th St. West, University Place.

Point Ruston

Point Ruston will be launching their live music summer concert series on Saturday, June 24th from 5:00 – 7:00, with funky blues harmonica and sax from James King and the Southsiders!

The free outdoor concert series will begin on June 27th and run on consecutive Tuesdays until August 15th at the newly renovated Skansie Brothers Park.

All concerts start at 6:30pm, rain or shine.
