Members of the City Council are scheduled Dec. 11 to hear the final reading of an ordinance that would amend the municipal code relating to the licensing and regulation of pets. The amendments include: defining and regulating potentially dangerous dogs; prohibiting possession of dangerous dogs; banning roosters; setting penalties and defining owners who repeatedly violate animal control laws as “problem pet owners”; as well as regulating the sale and giving away of puppies and kittens.
