EDB picks Top 10 Tacoma, Pierce County projects

The Economic Development Board for Tacoma-Pierce County has announced its annual list of Top 10 economic development projects and investments during 2015.

The list includes Evergreen Fire & Security, GKN Aerospace, Gordon Family YMCA, Lakewood Industrial Park expansion, Main & Vine, Old Castle APG West, SR 167 Puyallup River Bridge, The Henry, Port of Tacoma Road, and Whole Foods.

Similarly, the 2016 Golden Shovel Award was presented to Pierce County officials who led the effort to bring the 2015 U.S. Open to Chambers Bay Golf Course.

The award recipients were announced during the Economic Development Board for Tacoma-Pierce County annual meeting on Weds., March 2, at the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center in downtown Tacoma.
