The Tacoma Planning Commission will hold a public hearing for the 2008 Critical Areas Preservation Ordinance update. The hearing will start at 5 p.m. on Weds., April 16, in the City Council Chambers on the First Floor of the Tacoma Municipal Building, 747 Market St. The purpose of the public hearing is to allow all interested persons an opportunity to comment on proposed revisions to the Tacoma Municipal Code Chapter 13.11 Critical Areas Preservation Ordinance (CAPO) and TMC Chapter 13.05 Land Use Permit Procedures. The proposed 2008 revisions to CAPO include standards and regulations for fish and wildlife habitat conservation areas (FWHCAs), including marine buffer requirements and management areas for priority species.
