Tacomas Commencement Art Gallery is the latest victim of the sluggish economy: It will close after its last exhibition on Jan. 10, 2003.
In addition to its regular exhibits, there will be a Cheap Art Sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Nov. 23.
While we are sorry to have to take this step, we are incredibly grateful to all our members and volunteers for making so many great Commencement shows possible, said Megan Tully, a member of the board of directors. Their support has made a great difference in this arts community.
Since its 1992 opening the gallery – located at 902 Commerce St. – has exhibited works from more than 60 artists.
