In an effort to streamline the process for contracting with the City of Tacoma, all contracting opportunities open for bid are now advertised and posted in electronic form on the City’s Purchasing Web site at http://www.TacomaPurchasing.org . Electronic copies of bid solicitation documents, including general and technical specifications, any technical drawings or plans, bid/proposal forms, submittal instructions, and any addenda revisions to the original specifications can be viewed online, downloaded and printed for your use.

As of April 10, 2006, hard copies will no longer be available from the City.  This includes all Request for Bids (RFBs), Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Qualifications (RFQs) and Request for Information (RFIs).

The new system will provide prospective bidders quicker access to solicitation information and documents.  Bidders will self-register online as a plan holder for the solicitation(s) of interest in order to be notified of any addenda revisions. Bidders may also view the list of plan holders online. Bid specifications with oversized drawings and plans will continue to be distributed through the City’s designated plan distribution service, currently through Reprographics Northwest. Notices of these contracting opportunities will still be posted to the City Web site.
