The society is a local non-profit organization that assists youth and families in need. Toys will be needed for two upcoming events being sponsored by the Children’s Home Society. One of them that gifts will be needed for is a dinner to be held at McCord AFB on Dec. 8, for 200-300 children, at which each child will be given a gift. Then gift baskets will be needed for distribution on Dec. 25.We will especially need things for teenagers, said Jessica Woody. It’s not fun to be forgotten about. I grew up in a foster home and this is important to me. We have an opportunity to make a huge difference to the kids in our community.Chuckals will be collecting toys through Dec. 19 during their customer deliveries. They ask that the gifts, which will be accepted from everyone in the community, promote a positive image and be left unwrapped. Chuckals can be contacted at 253/620-2350, or businesses can notify their Chuckals Office Products sales representative when they have a donation.Gifts can also be dropped off at their offices at 2215 Pacific Ave., Tacoma. “
